Position Summary:

Provide internal support and service for Infinity’s Account Management Teams, Finance Department, Logistics Department, Supplier Management Department and Demand Planning Department. Manage the procurement process and coordination with IG internal teams and external suppliers, adhering to agreed turn-around times and processes. Provide leadership and hands on supervision related to the day to day activities of the Purchasing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the hiring and training process and conduct performance evaluations and corrective action as it relates to PS and Senior PS responsibilities
  • Partner with Director of Purchasing to build agenda for weekly Purchasing team meeting
  • Participate in strategic discussions regarding IGIS enhancements for the Purchasing Department
  • Develop relationships with suppliers in order to resolve service level concerns
  • Partner with the Director of Purchasing to build reports and system enhancements for supplier and departmental KPIs
  • Assist Director of Purchasing in establishing, documenting, and maintaining clear and effective purchasing policies and procedures

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct weekly or bi-weekly meetings with all direct reports to review projects, open orders, provide training and support, and discuss professional development plans
  • Serve as an escalation point for PS and Senior PS and assist with issue resolution within daily activities
  • Escalate departmental and supplier issues to director with proposed solutions
  • Attend weekly Account Team/Purchasing meetings and serve as escalation point to resolve issues
  • Guide PS and Senior PS in preparation of supplier discussions/meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or four or more years of experience in a related area are preferred.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication & interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational & communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and partner effectively with multi-discipline, multi-culture, internal and external contacts globally located.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated with the skills to effectively plan, organize, and administer job responsibilities.
  • Experience with purchasing and vendor relationships
  • ERP software experience a plus; Excellent PC skills, Word, Excel
  • Strong desire for increased responsibility
  • Familiar with a variety of customer/supplier concepts, practices, and procedures.
